can someone help with this

Im trying to make a prgm that extracts keys (in text form) from a website so i dont have to log on to do this
this is what i have so far:

> Dim Str1 As String

> str1=arr1(1)
> arr1=Split(str1)
> str1=arr1(0)
:> str1 should now contain the key value.

not sure if the source(> arr1=Split(str1) ) is compacted EG(vbNewLine or a HTML tag detector)

if it were compacted ,how would i get it to function
