Missing license for MSChart

After several years, my VB6 has just decided that the MSChart I use has a missing license.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice without any improvement. It still claims it cannot find the license to use it.

Any thoughts? This is driving me up the wall rather quicker than normal.

Hi there,

open up your registry editor and run a search on CLSID of the MSChart control.. find it? delete the registry subkey.. uninstall you vb and reinstall a fresh copy of vb again.. it should work now.. good luck.. :)

Thanks for the reply.

I've now found out that this "missing license" nonsense is nothing other than an updated OCX file installed by something else. Having extracted the previous version from one of my backups, all is now ok.

Hope this helps anyone else with a similar problem.
Thanks,
The Peasant
