new to VB for Excel-cell range of a macro

2
Hello. I have just started using macros in Excel-
I recorded a simple formula-now I need the macro to work on a number of spreadsheets, regardless of the number of cases the spreadsheet contains

Here's pieces of the macro

Dim varNbRows As Double

'Determine how many records are in the file
varNbRows = Selection.CurrentRegion.Rows.Count

Range("GL2").Select
ActiveCell.FormulaR1C1 = "=(RC[-106]/RC[-105])"
Range("GL2").Select
Selection.AutoFill Destination:=Range("GL2:GL2064"), Type:=xlFillDefault
Range("GL2:GL2064").Select

I need to change the 2064 with varNbRows-any suggestions?

Hi all

I have a basic question about selecting a range.
I would like to specify the selection of a particular range. I do not know the cells beforehand. I need to pass the value from a function. For example

I have the following code
Selection.Rows.Count
Temp = Selection.Rows.Count
Range( "A1: A &Temp")

Suppose teh value 12 is stored in Temp, I would like to get the cells from A1:A12 selected. With teh above code it doesnt seem to work. Please provide me witht the correct syntax.
