Help please!!!

Hi,

I wonder if somebody can help me??

Brief comment on what I doing. I pulling invoice information from a database using ODBC. Info I'm gathering is invoice amount, currency, rate of exchange and whether the invoice is a debit or credit. The problem I'm having is that both the debit and credit figures are come out as positive instead of the credits being a minus figure.

So what I need the code to do is look at a column to see if it's a debit of credit (D or C) and then divide the amount by the rate of exchange (To always give a amount in GBP) and then turn the figure into a minus if it's a credit.

If anybody has any ideas on how to do this then they would be much appreciated.

Thanks.
