Hi,
I am new to VB and recently purchased the Microsoft book "Build a program
now!" by Patrice Pelland which includes a copy of MS VB 2005 Express Edition.
I was looking to create an administration program which uses databases. Would
it be possible and what would the implications be (slow running?) of creating
an application which would be placed on a network and used by no more than 100
people simultaneously?
Thanks for your help
Tom
The program itself, along with the .Net Framework, will be running on each
user's machine, so they can expect perfectly normal performance. As long as you
are using a true database server, such as SQL Server or Oracle, 100 users would
not be a heavy load.
By the way, this is really a VB6 newsgroup, you should find some dotnet
newsgroups, such as:
microsoft.public.dotnet.languages.vb
microsoft.public.dotnet.languages.vb.controls
microsoft.public.dotnet.languages.vb.data
microsoft.public.dotnet.general
microsoft.public.vsnet.general
