VBA - new user.

Hi, I am learning VBA in Excel as I go, best way to learn, just getting stuck in!

I have written the macro to import data for a text file, and then clean up the file into a useable format, which works well.

I now need to manipulate that data. I am having trouble selecting a particular cell to work from, the particular cell will change in each imported file.

I would need to add values of two cells (D8 and E8) then starting from cell A8 count all the cells with values in until the count value is equal to that of D8+E8.
The set up and amount of cells for counting changes for each imported set of data. The basic set up would look like (x being cells with values in):
x x
x
y
or similar. Once the "final" cell is found corresponding to the value of D8+E8. I need the Marco to select all values after for manipulation.

Can any body give me some pointers, or if I am really lucky the full solution!

As I say I am new to this, and might be missing something completly simple!
I have copies of Excel VBA Programming for Dummies, and Excel 2003 Power Programming with VBA (both by John Walkenbach) if referencing to those helps.

Cheers,

bobround.
