How to read SRTM files using VB?

Hi

I'm trying to find informations regarding how to read SRTM file (Shuttle
Radar Topographics Mission) using VB.
Please, Could you help me ??

Googled a bit.
Does http://www.cherba.com/wcs/tutorials/...index_body.htm
yield any answers? There's a link to the SRTM_Topo.txt file, that should
contain a description.
