MSFlexGrid

I developed a simple application for a friend to use and it works just fine
on my machine, however, when my friend tries to use it, it complains about
an MSFlexGrid license. My app does use an MSFlexGrid control which is
essential.

Could someone tell me what gives here? Is there an easy fix? Is there an
alternative flexgrid which would not complain?

Thanks,

Stephen Saunders

This may help, not sure:
When distributing your application, you should install the MSFlxGrd.ocx file
in the user's Microsoft Windows System directory. (according to one of
my VB6
books)

Any chance this app is in VBA, i.e. Excel or Access or Word, and not in VB6?
That is a common reason for license issues, since VBA apps are treated as if
they were always in design mode.

Another possibility: If your version of VB is a learning edition, it may not
allow you to redistribute controls.
