UserControl problem - strange markings

I recently made a UserControl consisting of buttons in a frame.
The problem is that random strange markings appear sometimes under the
buttons. They can be 'wiped off' with another window, and re-marked also
with other windows (by dragging them over). Anyone know the problem and/or
the cure?
Otherwise things seem to work good.
I have been playing around with the cls and refresh methods of UserControl,
refresh for the Buttons & Frame, with no success.
I am using VB5 and XP.

They sound like "mouse droppings", most likely due to a fudgy video driver.

I don't think that's it. I tried the compilied version on a completely
different machine...same problem.
If "mouse droppings" can only come from a mouse..you dont have to get a
mouse near it. Message boxes and things can affect it when they cover it.
I'll try to write something small and duplicate the problem.
