Creating Help files with HCW.exe

I first started using HCW.exe to compile .rtf filew created with MS Word a
couple of weeks ago. I used the file | new
menu then selected New project in the dialog box and everything worked as
expected.

After this I decided to TRY to start a new project, so I repeated the File |
New menu but for some reason HCW.exe wouldn't allow me to create a new
project. After repeating the aforementioned process the filename plus the
..hpj extension appeared in the title bar, but the file was not in the folder
so when I attemped to compile the .rtf file I got the srror message: "could
not open MyHelpFile.hpj"

Why is it not creating the New project I'm asking HCW.exe to ? What do I
have to do to create a new project ?
It did it effortlessly the first time.

Creating a new Help project with HCW.exe

1) File | New

2) In the "New" dialog box select 'Help Project' and click OK

3) In the "Project Filename" dialog box

a) Select the folder

b) Type in the File name

c) Click the Save button

4) Click the Files button (second down on the right)

5) In the "Topic Files" Dialog box click the Add button on the right

6) In the Open dialog box, select the .rtf file (must have already have
been created in Word),

then click the open button.

7) In the Topic Files dialog box, click OK

8) Click the "Save and Compile button on the lower right

9) Wait for results

10) File | Run WinHelp (To view your newly created Help file

11) In the "View Help File dialog box" select the .hlp file to view

12) Click: "a double clicked file Icon" radio button
