MAPI errors?

Hello there,

I am trying to create my own emailprogram using the MAPI-controls.

But but.. after signing on I can not get any messages, and after closing the
running program I get a general error in vb6.exe and vb6 closes.

What is this? Did Microsoft make it impossible to use MAPI because of
posilble abuse in virusses?

I hope someone can tell me what to do. B.t.w., I am using VB6 SP5, Outlook
2000 en Windows XP.
