Multiple MDIChild Forms Maximized

I developing an imaging application that allows the user the potential of
having up to 8 MDIChild forms open at the same time. When using the
WindowList menu to switch between forms the forms behind the current form
can be momentarily seen during the switch causing a flickering effect. I
have attempted to maximize all of the forms but this only seems to work
after all of the forms have been minimized and then maximized together.

Has anyone found a work around for this behavior?

This is normal ... only one form is/can be actually maximized ... the rest
are in their restored or iconic state.
