Displaying Percents in VB 6.0 Reports

I am trying to create a statistical report in VB 6.0 using the VB
DataReport. Essentially, the table I am looking at has a number of
personal information records, including things such as Addresses,
professions, a classification type, and a few other fields.

How can I query my data base and create a report that shows what
percent of the total each state or profession or classification
(different reports may be used for each)?

My output should look something like:
Header and Other Pleasantries
-----------------------------
Nebraska 30%
Ohio 25%
New York 20%
Utah 20%
Iowa 5%

Hi

Have you tried using Crystal Reports that shipped with the professional
edition? It would allow you to create the report you described without much
effort.
