Excel workbooks getting hidden

I've got a VB 6 app that is required to create an excel spreadsheet.
Everything goes fine, until I save the sheet, either using .save or .saveas,
when it hides the workbook. The file is in the appropriate directory, but
when I open it, I have to click the "Window" menu then "Unhide" to see the
sheet. It also happens for existing books that the app opens, modifies and
the saves, as well as with the excel.application visible or hidden. Major
PITA for my users, anyone see this before?

Thanks
Tidman
