Q: How to create a good exe file?!

Can anyone tell me how to create an exe file that will contain all data
needed for that program? When I make an exe file and try to run it on some
other computer, it tells me that I don't have all ocx files needed. I need a
simple stand alone exe file!

You will ALWAYS need MSVBVM60.DLL

The OCXes you need are dictated by your App's requirements
.... and your own idleness

Most (but not all) OCXes
- can be replaced with APIs
- or compiled in UserControls you write yourself

use a language other than VB; VB can not create stand-alone EXE files

Just one more information... can Delphi create stand-alone exe files?

Use the VB setup program. It takes care of including all the DLLs,
and OCX files that your application needs. Before you can run on
another computer, you need to run a "setup.exe" that installs all the
needed files.

Yes

If you get Delphi then get the Professional edition
- you get the source of the libraries

Don't go below Delphi 4
