Hello.
I need to write a small bit of code for a web application for
commercial intranets. A small control panel in a web browser needs to
be always visible (i.e in front of other windows) when the web
application is used. This is to provide immediate access to
functionality for e.g. Stopwatches used by the application.
I know that you can do this with ActiveX (e.g.
http://companion.logitech.com/compan...h/viewer2.html ). The
Javascript onBlur approach doesn't work with Windows XP where giving a
form a focus does not bring it to the front.
We have recently acquired Visual Studio .Net 2003 licences and it no
longer seems possible/recommended to create ActiveX components). I was
wondering what the Visual Studio .Net alternative to ActiveX is. We do
not wish to mandate that the clients install the .Net framework but a
small activeX download is fine by us.
Do we need to reinstall all of our old Visual Basic 6 software in
order to do this or is there another alternative?
Any help would be great?
Jack
