VB.Net does not kill off procceses attached to vb6 activeX object

I'm trying to use a vb6 project as an activeX component in my VB.NET
app. The vb6 project kicks off another vb6 object as an attached
process.
Problem is, when the calling vb.NET app is closed down, the attached
process is left running (whereas when calling from a vb6 app, all
processes are killed off on closedown).

Any ideas as to why this attached process is left running from vb.NET,
and any idea of how to kill off all attached processes explicitly?

Cheers,
Gordon Doherty
