Open a file

Hi,

I am working on a project in VB6.
I would like the user to select a file in a way most windows applications do
(File -> Open).
Can someone tell me what component I need for that?

Thanks in advance,
Jack

You need to add the "Microsoft Common Dialog" control from the list.

For the actual selecting yes, but Jack asked about the
(file->open) action. Jack, you just need the menu editor
for that. The menu item you create with that, can invoke
the common dialog that Stéphane mentions.

Activate the menu editor, either by (tools->menu editor)
or by control-E. Either way works equally as well.
