what replaces contol arrays in VB.NET?

I am a very new VB.Net programmer (I was low intermediate in VB6) working
on a small app where I need to manipulate a bunch of related text boxes.
In VB6 I would have created a control array and done something like this:

For X = 0 to 9
'do whatever to TextBox(x)
Next x
Since control arrays are no longer supported, I was wondering what would
be the preferred method to do something like this. I know that there is
still a controls collection but I am not seeing an efficient way to use
this to my ends since it includes all controls on a form. I need a way to
have discreet groups of controls (actually, it will be about 5 groups of
six textboxes each) that I can manipulate with efficient code.

TIA for any help and advice.

Almost everybody here is using VB6 or lower. While you may get a stray
answer to VB.NET questions here, you should ask them in newsgroups devoted
exclusively to .NET programming. Look for newsgroups with the word "dotnet"
in their name.

For the news.devx.com news server, try these

vb.dotnet.discussion
vb.dotnet.technical

For the microsoft news server, try these newsgroups...

microsoft.public.dotnet.general
microsoft.public.dotnet.languages.vb

There are some others, but these should get you started.
