Hello I am experiencing extremely long time for loading a windows form in my Visual C++ .NET project This Windows form has just 40 labels, 4 checkBoxes, 2 buttons and 11 numericUpDown. It takes several minutes to load this form in the form designer when I double click on the . file in the Visual Studio .NET Solution Explorer. It gets worse with another form that has more controls. It gets really dramatic when I try to compile in...

Hi, I've got an input form (frmInput) that can be accessed in two ways. A combobox on this form either gets filled in by a selection on an already opened form (frmBasic), or one can input a value manually after opening the frmInput directly. Is there a way in VBA I can detect if the frmInput is opened based on a selection on frmBasic or if the frmInput is opened as stand alone? I suppose something in the onload event of frmInput that...

I do a lot of my code writing for Access forms at home, where I have no access to Access. While in Access, I export the entire primary code module, xxx.cls where xxx begins "Frm_" and includes the form name as a text file. Then I make extensive changes to this text file at home: I would like to import the new version as a replacement for the old, but I'm afraid to try it since I haven't figured out the exact way to do this.

Hi, I am newbie that is using Access 2003. I have a command button on a pop-up form that duplicates the current record displayed on my main form and all sub-forms attached to it. The last part of the code directs the form to reopen and filters the form for the duplicated record, only displaying it. Is there any way of having the form reopen and going to the duplicated record without filtering all the other records out? Here is the last...

Hi everyone, I've downloaded the PHP code at http://www.inventory-management.org/ and am currently in the process of trying to get the code up and running. I am running PHP version, so I needed to change the function named fputcsv to f_put_csv. However, when trying to login to the page (after setting up the database), I find that the $_POST array is empty?! I found this by putting the line var_dump($_POST) at the top of the...

I'm trying to complete some changes to a database that I have created and I need to finish it by tomorrow morning! Here's the situation: I have a form where people can order a number of products. They can set this form to varying statuses so that their supervisors can review the orders before they get placed. When the user (call them technicians) sets the order form to "review" status, the code goes through each individual item that...

So back to the VB GUI, I have a second form (Form2) where the user can go and select one of the excel reports and open it to view. Iíve written the code in VB so that when the user initially clicks the...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
