I am working on Access report from vb6 form. I am now able to open the report in maximized window. But still users can go to database window, etc which I don’t want. Can any one help me in providing clue for this if clause code
IF (…needed…!)

Set acc = Nothing
Set db = Nothing

Hello, I'm trying to decide if the following situation would be workable: Generate an MS Access Front End (which will run localy on client computers), which will link to a DBMS (SQL server or Oracle). As far as I know there will be approx. 30 till 40 users max working on the database. I think approx. 25 users will actually enter data (others will be mostly reporting and viewing). I don't really know the network capacity.

I have a table using an identity column as its Primary Key and two columns (table reduced for simplicity) EmployeeNumber and ArrivalTime. CREATE TABLE ( IDENTITY (1, 1) NOT NULL , (10) COLLATE SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS NOT NULL , NOT NULL , CONSTRAINT PRIMARY KEY CLUSTERED (

With the body tag calling out 'window onload', a function with a 'window.open' fails at the 'window.open' line. If I cut out the body tag, the function executes as normal. At first I thought it was the entire function failing, but I tested with alerts and found that it was only the 'window.open' that fails to execute. The function is being called by a link, and I suspected some problem with the body alink/vlink but after cutting that out...

Today and tomorrow we're demonstrating our ASP.NET application to the external business customers who will be using it (this is what would best be called a B2B application). I've set things up so that the users automatically go against our test server for the database. We'll "go live" next week Monday. For some reason, while demonstrating the app, it was causing lots of errors for users. It became apparent that the issue was one...

Hi all, I have a split database. Both the forms, and the tables are stored on a shared network drive (this is Access 2003). The users use the forms, and the tables on the network drive, there are no local copies. When connection to this drive is lost, Access CRASHES. It does it every single time. Does anyone know if there is a way to check if

The new tabbed interface in access 2007, has led to one interesting problem. With a report shown in preview mode, and maximized, it just becomes a new tab. The user can click back over to the form, and if they make changes, they expect it to appear in the already previewed report (which it won't). So the question is how to prevent this. Either make every other standard form invisible in a report's On-Open event, or find another way? I...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
