How to execute codes stored in a table

2 New Member
Hi Friends,

I want to store a function of my Project in a Table of the Database I am using. I want to read that function and execute in Run time when needed.

Please help me.

I dont think you can do that in VB. Visual Basic is a compiled language. VBA is a scripted language. You can't run a scripted language from a compiled language without some kind of add on. If you were feeling really brave you could compile the function in C and save it out to the database in binary format. As long as it doesn't alter the stack or other registers you might be able to run it. However watch out because it wont run from the data segment which is where it will be extracted to by default.

What I'm thinking though is it might be possible with something like php. Php accepts scripts. So the idea would be to store a php script in the table in string format. Read it out in vb and send it off to php (the executable). Take php's output and do what you want with it. This would be much like shell scripting in Linux.

Hi: I run into the following problem where I would use CreateQuerydef to create a new Table and then use "Execute" to execute the statement. However, I keep getting an error message saying that the table already exists! (Error 3010 Table already exists). But I made sure that the table were dropped before I executed the statement and I went into the database to check that the table was deleted before I ran the "execute" statement. Here...

Is there a way to apply security at table level rather than database level. A critical table in-house mysteriously disappeared the other day. Although it shouldn't be necessary I would like only one person with the power to DROP this critical table. Can privileges be set at table level. I am working in phpmyadmin

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
