Transferring from Delphi 7.0 to vb.net

4
Hi,
I have a program written in Delphi 7.0. It produces a file which I have to read it in another project written in Vb.net. I have problem in masking my structures to the files read. Suppose I have an structure in Delphi for Machine information, such as name and Color. I have problem reading back this machine info. spec. Color info. In Delphi I could easily BlockRead(file, MachineRec....), but in vb I have to read it via stream reader, then assign values to the structure one by one....
can anyone help me find a good way to read and write like blockRead and blockwrite!

Thanks in advance

It may make your life easier if your structures were serialized as XML.

If you aren't comfortable with XML, than you will have to continue doing what you are doing t desearlize the information.
