How to install a vb.net application on another Computer

I have an vb.net application that I want to install on other Computer. The backEnd is SQL server. so the error is on other computer (Provider :: SQL NETWORK INTERFACE ERROR 26 -error LOCATING SERVER, INSTANCE SPECIFIED)

Wow there are a lot of variable we don't know to answer your question...
There are any number of things you will need to do - but the most basic is to make sure you either deploy it on a box that already has SQL installed, or deploy SQL with your application. If your app is referencing an existing dataset - then you have to install that on SQL as well. It's really not clear from your question which you need to do. Perhaps you are creating your own dataset with the application - in that case then you just need to make sure SQL is there or deploy it.

Try installing Management Studio Express (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/e...displaylang=en) on the pc having the issues.

From there, you can try connecting to the database. It could be firewall restrictions preventing it from finding it. You can temporarily disable windows firewall to help detect this, and plug it into a location that you are sure can access the server.

If it does connect, run a simple SELECT * FROM foo query and see if it completes. This way you know the user has permissions.
