Is there a way to remove root checkboxes

P: 1
I am writing a windows application in I have a database that will eventually hold about 100-150 people. To make it easier to find the person you need, I want to be able to organize them into an expandable list with Sophomore, Junior, and Senior as headers. Treeview seems like exactly what I need except I need checkboxes on the students but not on the headers. Is there a way to remove the checkboxes for the root nodes but keep them for the child nodes or is there another control I can use to the same effect?

Thanks in Advance,

The only way to remove those checkboxes is to write your own custom treeview control. Check out this page and this page for examples.
