publishing a webpage into a public website

I am facing a problem while publishing a webpage to an existing site.whenever i publish the page into the internal n/w it is working fine. but when publish into a public site i was not able to access the database files and other files.In the virtual folder i have checked read,write,script source access,log visit etc and also set execute permission as scripts and executables.please suggest a solution for this...
