Maintaining Activer Directory

Does anyone know if there is an idiots guide to maintaining Active Directory
using VB.NET.

I have found bits and pieces about ldap_add, ldap_modify etc on the web but
I could do with more hand holding.

Not sure exactly what type of "maintaining" you are referring to, but this is a pretty good sized
