Regarding Mike Willaims

As many of you may have noticed Mike Williams seems intent on spamming this
newsgroup. I advise you to just ignore him, and don't engage him, rather
send any complaints you have to his ISP, Opal Telecommunications. The
contacts for them are Phil 'p******@opaltelecom.co.uk' and Gavin
'g**********@opaltelecom.co.uk'

Thanks

I don't know whether anyone from Microsoft regularly reads the Visual Basic
groups but if they do then I am very surprised that they permit one of their
own MVPs to engage in such outrageous long term trolling activities in one
of their own public newsgroups, such as the activity that the person who
purports to be Bill McCarthy has engaged in on the
microsoft.public.vb.general.discussion group for many months. If this man
belongs to you:

https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/pr...9-25680609CCB8

.. . . then perhaps you might like to look at his activity in that group.
Here for example is one of his very latest offerings:

Yeh, still a way to go. I think given the warm reaction today,
and given some folks have learning difficulties around here
(obviously why they are still *stuck* in VB6 *only*), might
just have to ramp things up a notch or two, and make it more
toasty :D

I am attempting to stop you from spamming the comp.lang.basic.visual.misc
group McCarthy, something which you have been doing for a long time. I have
only just started my attempts to stop you here, and I have been posting to
this group for just a few days in my attempts to do so. But over on the
clbvm group we have had to put up with your spamming tirade for many months,
despite repeated requests from dozens of people asking you to stop. I think
it is disgusting that Microsoft have allowed you to continue with your
spamming activity over the many months without warning you about the risk of
losing your MVP status. Surely some of the other MVPs here can control you
in some way? Hopefully the people who make such decisions will take it into
account at the end of the year when they decide whether or not to reinstate
you as a Microsoft MVP. The following, which is a full copy of your exact
response in a very recent thread on clbvm, is an effective admission of your
spamming activities and of your inflammatory behaviour. If you stop spamming
and trolling the clbvm group then I shall immediately stop posting requests
here for you to do so.

Mike,

This is the last time I am responding to you here. You clearly are
trolling, and I suggest everyone report the matter to your ISP,, Opal
Telecommunications. The contacts for them are Phil
'p******@opaltelecom.co.uk' and Gavin 'g**********@opaltelecom.co.uk'

That's yet another deliberate lie. I welcome anyone to search
comps.lang.basic.visual.misc
http://groups.google.com/group/comp....al.misc/topics

I have only just started my attempts to stop you here,

Right that's why I suggest peopel contact your ISPO immediately as well as
add you to their blocked sender list.

I think it is disgusting that Microsoft have allowed you to continue with
your spamming activity over the many months without warning you about the
risk of losing your MVP status.
For starters, the MVP awards is somethign given in recognition of *past*
contributions. Considering you are in fact an ex-MVP, I would think you
would be aware of that.

If you stop spamming and trolling the clbvm group then I shall immediately
stop posting requests here for you to do so.
Sorry, I don't do deals with terrorists. However, if you learn to breathe,
you might realize you are the *only one* that is doing any flaming.
