MSDN Subscriber and no answer...

On 2/24 I posted a question on "Com Interop and ParamArray" and have not
received any response even though I am a MSDN subscriber. What's up?

It always has been! Although there has been 2 or 3 instances in the past
year where this has happened. I have made no changes on my end - why would I
suddenly fall off the list?

Well, I sort of thought just asking was a logical step. If I remember
correctlly, the last time this happened, I found some inconsistancy with my
'profile' vs my 'configuaration' under "Manage my Subscription | Managed
newsgroups | Configure".
I had stated that nothing had changed on my end, but I now recall that I
cleared out all my cookies a couple of weeks ago. You don't suppose that MS
relys somehow on cookies to determine who is a subscriber... do you?
Of course, trying to get in and check my configuration right now - I get an
error message saying it is not currently available...

Well, I sort of thought just asking was a logical step.

The problem is that the people you are asking are not Microsoft
employees and can't really help you. It's sort of like going to the
post office and asking another customer why your mail hasn't arrived.
Sure they might have some ideas, but they can't do anymore than
speculate. A much better approach would be to ask the post master
behind the counter.

Well I sort of thought that the concept of a 'managed newsgroup' was that
there are MS employees out there lurking somewhere. And it was more like
standing at the Post Office and asking if someone could please help me!
Well enough of that...I have checked my profile/configuration and my msdn
registered
email is correct. So I guess I will have to contact them the old fashioned
way.

Well I sort of thought that the concept of a 'managed newsgroup' was that

there are MS employees out there lurking somewhere.

The only thing that is managed (afaik) is that whenever a registered
MSDN subscriber posts a question, it alerts a Microsoft staffer to
answer the question. Besides that, I don't believe there are Microsoft
employees just "lurking" here waiting for a post. Most of us here are
just volunteers.

Yes and that is what is funny about the whole thing. I was hoping that
this thread would lead to what caused this problem. I had double and triple
checked that my profile and configured nospam addresses were identical...
Te****@nospam.nospam and they were. I did (out of desperation) 'update' my
nospam alias on the configuration page from Te****@nospam.nospam to
Te****@nospam.nospam (yes I know they are the same). Maybe that
'straigntend' it out. From my end, I have no way to tell what, if any
differance that made, but it looks like it is working now.

In your case I would mail one of the MSFT's direct in this newsgroup, they
have quiet open email addresses if you remove the "online."
