Not a VB question, but I'll give you an answer anyway. I believe you
need to use the "Set working directory" for the project in Visual
Source Safe.

He's talking about Team Foundation Server, not VSS. He multi-posted this to
a bunch of newsgroups, so he doesn't really deserve a response, but I'm
gonna do it anyway:
In the Source Code Explorer, click on the dropdown for Workspace, and choose
"Workspaces...". This brings up the list. Pick your workspace, and click
Edit. It lets you change the localFolder there.
