Bill, please do us all a favour and stop replying to spam messages. We can
all tell that it's spam, we don't need someone to come along and point it
out to us.

The spammers don't read your reply and it really doesn't upset them. The
only people that get irritated by your replies are the other members of the
group, many of whom won't have seen the original spam message anyway because
their own software or their news server will have filtered it out. So the
only spam they see is in your message (which you helpfully quoted in full,
in case anyone missed it the first time).

I can see four messages from you in this group from the last week or so, all
of which are replies to spam. Really, if you want the spammers to go away,
replying to their messages isn't the way to achieve it. Just ignore them or
killfile them.
