How to synchronized a function

Hi, I am a newpie for VB NET

I want to synchronized a function, but I do not hot to do it?

In Java,

public synchronized void function(....)
{
.....
}

how to do in VS.NET 2003

Public Sub Function(.....)
??sync(this){
??}
EndSub
