VB 2005 and web applications ??

Is VB the program used to make Web apps? Is this all I would need is
VB to make programs that run on web servers and interface with MySQL
for example?

If you are running vb.net express then yes it is.

ASP.net is included with Visual Studio's

I beleive the link you are looking for for the express version is at the bottom left

You can use different programming languages such as VB.NET and C# for
ASP.NET programming. ASP.NET is simply a server/client-side technology used
to develop Web sites ("Web applications").
