Of course you can. (If you pay for it)

I doubt any one here will "give" you a book. Perhaps you have a
library near by you could check one out?

Thanks,

Well
MS Netherlands is verry generous for developers , i received several MSPRESS
books from MS just by attending some free seminars

so you might contact your local MS office

and there are always the free e-books

Phillip,

Isn't that site, like most ebook sites, illegally supplying the book in
electronic format? Or am I mistaken? (I would very much like to be mistaken
about this).

If it is illegal, wouldn't it be easier to just go to the local bookstore
and steal it?

I don't know if it's legal or not. I just googled "Free eBook Deital"
and put what I thought was a useful and relevant link into the post to
help him on his way or to point him towards the right direction.

I've never stolen a book from a library so I have no idea how easy or
hard it would be.

I don't know if it's legal or not.

Here's the copyright disclaimer for those that are interested:

<quote>
Copyright Disclaimer:

the original page. All actions are under your responsability, please
delete them after 24 hours or purchase it. Email us to report illegal
contents
</quote>

It seems to say you can use the contents for 24 hours and then must
purchase the book or delete the contents. Of course noting the
misspelling of responsability (sic) you might not want to trust the
disclaimer....

Neither have I stolen from a library or bookstore, but I suspect it
would be much harder than using a free eBook site. Those librarians
probably have Eagle Eyes when it comes to book stealers. Of course,
why would you steal the book from a library when you could just
repeatedly check it out? At least in my local library I'm about the
only person who even goes near the technical books. :-)

Thanks,
