Hello Everyone,
I have a requirement to create an application which can be integrated into
several host system APIs. These host system generally do the same thing
(look up customer record, do something to the record, close the account)
but each system has a slightly different "work flow".
Obviously each system has it's own pecularities, different features, etc.
which make this a seemingly impossible task?
Has anyone tackled this before? Is there a way to generize an application
to this extent so that it would be very easy to change the underlying API
while maintaining the majority of the application's functions?
I'm not even sure how to begin developing such an application?
I was thinking:
-Normalizing the workflow into known steps - then creating integration
points
-Integrating Windows Workflow Foundation - and using WWF to drive the GUI?
I think what I'm looking for is a framework which is easy to maintain,
lightweight, and straight forward to modify.
Any suggestions or comments?
