I hardly ever use the designer to do my database stuff so I didn't even
notice that this was not in the toolbox until you mentioned it.
i scratched my head for minutes and minutes trying to figure out what this
"bindingsource" was. This is a little departure from .net2003. is this the
same as the dataview object?
BindingSource is different than the DataView. Think of the DataView as a
SQL View, it's just another way of looking at the data. The BindingSource
acts as a go-between for your data and your controls. An example would be if
you wanted to show database data in a DataGridView and have the ability
perform a Find on the data in the grid. In this case you would use the
BindingSource as the DataSource for the DataGridView. You perform the find
on the BindingSource and DataGridView will automatically scroll down to the
Found record.
