Passphrase to hexadecimal WEP keys

Does anyone know the algorthims that converts a Passphrase to
hexadecimal WEP keys. my card cannot do it and when Ii travel it is a
PITA

You would just convert to ASCII Hex.

There are a bunch of javascript sites online that do this conversion.

Or if you have a text editor like UltraEditor, you can view the equivalent
HEX codes of each ASCII char.
