Application as virtual or network drive

Hi all,

I am trying to create an application, which will create a virtual drive on
the system.

When user logs in to the application, that virtual drive would show contents
of a remote server.

Also I want to trap all events inside that virtual drive. Like if user
creates a new file, or deletes a file.

So that my application can send that file to server location or take
appropriate actions

Is that possible to do with .net?

Thnx

So basically you'll like to create a virtual disk?

..NET doesn't provide any features like that out of the box ... what sort of
files will you be handling?

Ya that would be virtual disk, the files would be normal files like
pictures, pdfs, etc.

basically that drive would show contents from remote location, and i wuld be
copying files in and out.

Sorry if I'm missing something, but why just use the actual drive on
the server and then use a filesystemwatcher and respond to the copy/
delete/etc events?

Thanks,

As i said in my first post, user actually logs in to the application. So
only specific files can be shown.

Thnx
