webcam and picture box control

VB.net 2005

I have been testing a couple of web camera examples I found on the internet.
They use a picture box control for the camera output.

I am saving an image captured from the picture box. This is working fine
except when I have the form minimized and try to capture the image. It
seems the picture box isn't updating when the form is minimized. I have
tried setting the form to invisible but that doesn't solve the problem.

Any ideas on how to capture a picture from the web cam when the form is
minimized?
