Strange behavior with some printers (series HP Laserjet 1000)

Hi guys,

I saw an strange behavior with some printers of series HP Laserjet 1000. I have installed several printers on my PC, some of them are : HP LaserJet 1020 e 1010.

I'm using CrystalReportsViewer to preview my reports and there is a ComboBox with all printers installed in order to allow users to choice the printer.

To change the selected printer I use: ReportDocument.PrintOptions.PrinterName = cmbPrinters.Text
I have notice that:

1) If the Default Printer is any other printer, except the HP laserjet printer, but then I select the HP...printer, I get the following exception when the above assignment sentence is executed:
COMException : invalid printer specified
2) If the Default Printer is the HP laserjet printer, then I can select any other printer without exceptions

Somebody experienced this behavior sometimes ? Any help will be appreciated
TIA
Antonio
