DataGrid captures focus

Hi,
I have a problem with a Custom DataGrid on some PCs.

I have a TextBox that the User can type into and as they type it searches
through the Grid's DataView finding the first match of the characters typed
and Selects the Row on the DataGrid and then allows the User to type the
next character.

On my development PC and most User PCs it seems to work quite well but on
some PCs (and they all seem to be IBM Slim Celeron boxes mostly running XP)
I got a lot of complaints about the system locking up.

Investigation shows that it hasn't actually locked. When the program is
first started it seems to work without problems but if the user scrolls the
grid or clicks on a row, from then on if the search box is used when the
User types a character, it searches and highlights the Grid Row but the Grid
captures the focus and to type the next character the use must click back
into the text box and select after the text and then type the next character
at which time it again searches, selects and the Grid takes the focus again.

Has anyone got any idea at all why this works on some PCs but not the IBM
celerons?

Thanks

Doug.
