sp_rename _BUG_

This is straight out of books online sql 2000 for sp_rename

Renaming a stored procedure, view or trigger will not change the name
of the corresponding object name in the syscomments table. This may
result in problems generating a script for the object as the old name
will be inserted from the syscomments table into the CREATE statement.
For best results, do not rename these object types. Instead, drop and
re-create the object by its new name.

You know any workarounds?

What part of "Instead, drop and re-create the object by its new name" did
you have trouble understanding? ;-)

Michael, this is not the Access MVP Larry Linson you are responing to,
but instead an alias Aaron Kempf uses for trolling. Please disregard
his posts and do not respond to him (as the saying goes "do not feed
the trolls").

Thanks,

Some people will say I'm wasting my time with what I'm about to say.

I will however try...

I'm contributing to this thread
While this may or may not be true in any given case....
>STFU bitch
.... will get you named a Troll and rightly so.

If you feel you would like to contribute, please try to address people and
entities with at least a small degree of respect.

I appriciate that MS are not perfect (far from it in many cases)

But I doubt they will listen to any genuine concerns that you have while
your attitute/language remains at this level.

I think it fair that everyone is given a second chance.

If you start to show a little respect, then I'm sure others will also do
the same.

I do not mean to sound condacending, so If you feel I have insulted you then
I appologise.

However you will, I think, get very few olive branches before someone burns
the tree down

Rory, while I appreciate your attempt at pacification, I have to ask
that you don't respond to Aaron at all. Many have stated the same
arguments (and more) you made to Aaron and they have not and will not
make any difference. He is not here to get Microsoft to change, or to
help others, he is only here to troll. Any response of any kind to him
or about him (including this one) will only encourage him to troll
more.

Thanks,

Seth Rowe
