Trying to write a REG_Multi-SZ value

I am trying to write a registry value with the type: Reg_Multi_SZ. Every
time I run the setvalue method the result is a REG_SZ Type. Even if I
specify the RegistryValueKind it still sets teh type to REG_SZ:

DUA_Key2.SetValue("ProtocolAcceptTypes", myString,
RegistryValueKind.MultiString)
I even tried splitting the text, but I get the same result

Dim MyData As String = txtProtocolAcceptType.Text.ToString
Dim Seperators() As Char = {" "c}
Dim myDataPrimer() As String = MyData.Split(Seperators)
DUA_Key2.SetValue("ProtocolAcceptTypes", myDataPrimer,
RegistryValueKind.MultiString)

Any help would be appreciated.
