read 'long-raw' data type from oracle

Hello,

How can I read data field from an oracle procedure with 'long-raw' data type
, using oracle client data adapter?
I tried that:
objPic = New clsPersInfoDT
vCParam1 = New OracleClient.OracleParameter
vCParam2 = New OracleClient.OracleParameter

vCParam1.ParameterName = "emp_photo_data"
vCParam2.ParameterName = "p_employee_number"

vCParam1.OracleType = OracleClient.OracleType.LongRaw
vCParam2.OracleType = OracleClient.OracleType.VarChar

vCParam1.Direction = ParameterDirection.Output
vCParam2.Direction = ParameterDirection.Input

vCParam2.Value = strEmpID
OracleParams = New ArrayList
OracleParams.Add(vCParam1)
OracleParams.Add(vCParam2)
but I've received:
Message "ORA-01406: fetched column value was truncated

Please Advice..
note: i'm using 'oracle client', in VS.NET 2003, using VB.NET
Thanks
Sarah
