SQl 2000 job needs to run .NET code

hey I want to execute VB 2005 code within a job in SQL 2000; all I see
there is 'ActiveX script'

is SQL 2000 going to support VB 2005 sometime soon?

if not, is there an IDE that supports ActiveX script development?

THANKS

Susie

yeah I've been wondering that also; I saw it working on one machine
once but I haven't seen it elsewhere

Aaron and Aaron,

Do you just not have anything else to do with your life besides make posts
and respond to them yourself? It's really very sad.

how do I use VB 2005 in my SQL 2000 DTS steps, or my SQL 2000 jobs? or

yeah I do also

unnecessary change is not sexy
unnecessary change is not necessary

my code is more portable than yours; and it works in a variety of
environments.

your code works in ONE PLACE-- either Vb 2005 or VB.net

Yeah; I sure wish that SQL Server would support .NET in jobs and dts
steps

it would be nice to have a well-rounded product offering; sort of like
it was back in the VB6 / VBA / VBS days

yes; I sure wish that we could run .NET code in SQL 2000 job steps
or even in SQL 2005

I mean; what a half-baked solution they tell us to move everyting
to .NET and yet 3/4s of where we use Vb6; there is no replacement
