Compile at runtime with VBCodeProvider without VS

I'm using to compile at runtime with VBCodeProvider

Now I'm wondering if it will work on a machine without VS or some other
compiler on it.

I mean, is this like using Word for spell check, which I assume one needs
Word to work?

Yes, it will work because the compilers are part of the .NET Framework.
