Window contents off screen but main window fits OK?

Siv
Hi,
I have an application written in VB.NET 2003 which behaves strangely on a
couple of notebook users machines.

When the application is maximised (it is an MDI app) the menu bar and
toolbar and Windows controls fit like you'd expect, but the contents of the
child windows extend beyond the width of the screen. You can tell because
the right hand end of some of the forms is going off the page. The user's
screen is 1280x1024 and when I shrink my display to these dimensions and run
it the same page looks fine on mine/ In fact I designed the forms to fit on
a 1024x768 display and I have changed my display to that and the same forms
still fit OK on that.

Has anyone seen this behaviour and can tell me what is causing it?

I have looked at the possibility of the user having their system set to
display across multiple monitors and that they have the right dpi settings
and everything looks OK?

Any help gratefully accepted.
