Hi,
I am sorry for the long title and I hope you can help me with the small
problem I have.
I am working on Project and we are very close to deployment phase, Here
is
the fact I have.
1- The application is Client / Server Model using .NET Remoting.
2- The 90% of the users are internal users and the rest are remote
users
3- The application using One Click update method to push the update
version
to user desktop.
4- The application design considered the client will run on the remote
user
workstation and will connect to the server via VPN. This flow has been
tested
and it work fine.
The problem now is the network admin proposed instead of deploying the
client physically to the remote users , he prefer to deploy the
application
to Terminal Server and using RDP to run the application to reduce the
require
bandwidth??
I am not sure which method will be better, I think the remote user will
lose
the performance if we used Terminal Server.
I am not sure which method will have less bandwidth, specially the
client
request data object only from the server which always a DataTable with
few
dozen records.
Thanks,
Keith
