write to ftp folder from web app

VB.Net 2005

I have a web application that uses a batch file to create a pdf file.

The file is created in a local folder and I want to move it to the IIS ftp
folder but I don't know how to reference it.

If I do a file.move it fails because it cannot find the ftp folder and when
I do a Directory.Exists("c:\Inetpub\ftproot") it returns false.

How do I reference this ftp folder correctly?
