Upgrading a project, "Invalid Image" exception?

Hi,

I just took a deep breath, made a backup and decided to have a go at
converting my 1.1 project to 2.0. All goes well, apart from 10,000 warning
messages about references being used before they are assigned a value (well,
we all assume "nothing" is default). Anyway, when I try and run the project
I get an error "BadImageFormatException was unhandled", "The format of the
file 'Foo.exe' is invalid".

I'm assuming 2005 compiles to a .NET 2.0 binary image, so what situations
can I get this error in? I've tried "cleaning" the assemblies but the lack
of information on why this is happening is not enabling me to make much
progress.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Robin
